Your online presence is your company's resume.

I get this a lot from Hiring Managers. Is our company social media THAT important? From my experience, yes. But the good news is that, from a hiring perspective, it doesn't need to be the most exciting page ever. You don't need to post all the time, and it doesn't have to be super edgy and original.
But you DO need to have it and it needs to have followers (try inviting connections to follow). And you DO need occasional, relevant, sharp, clean looking posts. Quality over quantity! A lame looking graphic can turn a candidate off in a millisecond.
Why? Your online presence is your company's resume. Think about how quickly you glance over a resume. And how a resume with horrible formatting affects you. Yes, we can usually live with poor formatting for quality experience, but candidates are less forgiving when it comes to choosing an employer.
When thinking about your online presence, it HAS to look sharp and professional. A janky, dated social media page or website is an immediate turn off for a shocking number of candidates. And we all know how competitive the market is!
