Just how generic are those recruiting InMails you get?

“I stopped responding to recruiting messages when I realized its just a numbers game”

Someone at a networking event said this me the other day, and while I knew that was the case for a lot of people, it was still disheartening to hear.

So just how generic are those recruiting InMails you get?

At Spectra we sift through hundreds and sometimes thousands of profiles selecting target candidates. I’ll admit, the initial profile review is pretty quick, but we do review the profile of each person we message to make sure they are at least generally a fit.

We also use a message template to blast out, but everything after the initial blast is direct personal conversation.

Is it a numbers game? Yes, definitely. But that doesn’t mean that its not selective and targeted as well.
